Pre-war Harmony made parlors remain some of the best sounding guitars to be found. This example was rebuilt on the inside but the outside finish was left intact. Fingerstyle, flatpickers and light strummers take head, this little guitar is just what you need.
SPECS: 0-size body, 12-fret neck, ladder-braced solid birch, paddle headstock with period tuning machines, steel reinforced poplar neck with very soft “V” neck profile, rosewood fretboard with original frets, original decals, rosewood bridge, bone pins, nut and saddle. Nut width: 1 3/4”, String Spacing: 2 3/8”, Scale length: 24”, Upper bout: 9 1/2”, Lower Bout: 13 1/4”, Body length: 17 7/8“, Widest body depth: 3 1/2”, Soundhole diameter: 3 7/8”, Overall length: 37”, Neck thickness at 1st fret: 7/8”, Neck thickness at 5th fret: 7/8”, Action: 1/8”, string gauge setup: 52-11s.
CONDITION: Shows 82 years of honest wear on the surface but solid everywhere underneath. Replaced missing tuner parts, original pickguard is curled around the edges. Work included neckset, top rebracing and repairs to seams, braces, bridgeplate, bridge, frets, finish and setup.
SOUND: A pre-war vintage parlor guitar with ladder bracing can be a wonderful thing. Loud, punchy and resonant, the music gods shine down on this old gal for sure.
