Fulkerson hand-built 00-size, 12-fret in x-braced spruce over rosewood, 1 13/16” nut, 2 1/4” string spacing, warm and wonderful fingerstyle guitar

Some things get better the second time around. This guitar came back to me in trade and was “refreshed” to become primarily a fingerstyle guitar. The body is very Gibson LG-like, the playability is super smooth while overall it offers sweet sustain and resonance without much effort. Nice, solid rosewood guitar at a fair price.

SPECS: 00-size body, 12-fret neck, x-braced solid spruce over solid rosewood sides and back, paddle headstock with vintage Kluson tuning machines, steel reinforced poplar neck with soft “C” neck profile, fancy soundhole rosette, radius’d rosewood fretboard with new frets, rosewood bridge, bone, pins nut and saddle. Nut width: 1 13/16“, String Spacing: 2 1/4”, Scale length: 25”, Upper bout: 11 1/2”, Lower Bout: 14”, Body length: 19 1/2”, Widest body depth: 4”, Overall length: 38 1/2” , Neck thickness at 1st fret: 7/8”, Neck thickness at 5th fret: 15/16”, Action: 1/8”, string gauge setup: 52-11s.

CONDITION: East Indian rosewood rim was built by Finley Fulkerson with his brass nameplate on the neckblock to prove it. I added the rest. Shopworn use but otherwise solid with no issues or bad habits.

SOUND: Aged tonewoods have matured nicely. The 00-body size and depth really brings out the best in this spruce/rosewood combination. Fine all-around player but really loves bare fingerstyle.
