Pre-war Stomberg Voisinet 0-size, 12-fret in X-braced solid mahogany, 1 3/4” nut, 2 3/8” string spacing, totally rebuilt and ready for action

Stromberg Voisinet small bodies are wonderful guitars. This example had fallen apart over the years. It received a complete disassembly, cleaning and rebuilding to modern standard for structure and playability. Ladder bracing was updated to X-bracing, intonation was improved immensely and the tone is rich and full. Needs nothing but the right player.

SPECS: 0-size body, 12-fret neck, X-braced mahogany top, sides and back, SV headstock, new Golden Age tuning machines, steel reinforced poplar neck with “V” neck profile, bound and radius’d ebony fretboard with new frets and MOP markers, bound soundhole, top and back, ebony bridge, bone pins, nut and saddle. Nut width: 1 3/4”, String Spacing: 2 3/8”, Scale length: 24 ”, Upper bout: 9 1/4”, Lower Bout: 13”, Body length: 18 5/8“, Widest body depth: 3 5/8”, Overall length: 36 3/8” , Neck thickness at 1st fret: 1”, Neck thickness at 5th fret: 1 /16”, Action: 3/32”, string gauge setup: custom light 52-11s

CONDITION: Excellent rebuilt condition. Top and back were thicknessed and sides completely sanded clean. Top was rebraced, back braces were reused, neckblock and endblock replaced. Work included neckset, fresh bracing update, new fretboard/frets, binding, bridge and a sweet setup.

SOUND: Raw, honest all-mahogany tone. This guitar can take strumming, flatpicking or barefingers, which I can make happen with the setup of your choice.
