40's Regal 12-fret parlor in x-braced mahogany over maple, sounds even better than she looks

052814P

There's lots of headroom in this mahogany top so feel free to strum, pick or bare-finger this old gal. It plays like a 00-size guitar but in a parlor-size body. You get the picture.

SPECS: 0-size, body, 12-fret neck, x-braced solid mahogany top over solid maple back and rim in natural lacquer finish, slotted headstock with vintage tuning machines, soft "V" neck profile, natural maple fretboard with original frets, new ebony bridge, bone nut, new bone saddle, ebony pins. Nut width: 1 11/16", String Spacing: 2 3/8", Scale length: 24", Upper bout: 9 1/2", Lower Bout: 12 3/4", Body length: 18", Widest body depth: 3 5/8", Overall length: 37" , Neck thickness at 1st fret: 1", Neck thickness at 5th fret: 1 1/16", Action: 1/8", String gauge setup: 52-11s.

CONDITION: A few bumps and bruises to the wood, wiggles and squiggles to the finish but otherwise crack free. Slotted headstock was reshaped at some point from a flat top to a mosque style pointed top. Ebonized maple fretboard was stripped down to the natural wood and MOP dots added. Work performed included neckset and repairs to seams, back, braces, bridgeplate, bridge, finish, touchups, setup.

SOUND: Fine guitar for many styles of play, I like this guitar for its punchy depth at lower registers and the volume it puts out with a flatpick. Sweet all-around parlor with wide string separation at the bridge.
