Finley Fulkerson 00-size, 12-fret in x-braced spruce over rosewood, mid-size fingerstyle dream

052814O

A brass name plate attached to the neckblock says the Finley Fulkerson made this rosewood rim w/ back in 1977. The rim found it's way to me and I finished the job by installing an x-braced spruce top and a fingerstyle-friendly 12-fret neck. The body style reminds me of a Gibson LG but the tone is more rich and has more depth than any LG that I've ever heard.

SPECS: 00-size, body, 12-fret neck, x-braced solid spruce top over solid rosewood back and rim in natural lacquer finish, paddle headstock with vintage tuning machines, average "C" neck profile, rosewood fretboard with new frets, new rosewood bridge, bone nut, new bone saddle and pins. CONDITION: This is a fine well-built guitar. It's simple without lots of bling and overall package is a nice middle-ground between parlor and dred size acoustics. Some bumps and bruise, tiny chipping around the binding, scuffs here and there but no cracks and no repairs. Great playability without the worries.

SOUND: The sustain and rich tone are characteristics of fingerstyle guitars and this example is no exception. It takes light strumming without getting bogged down but really shines with individual notes, capo on or capo off.

PRICE: $999
