40 year old Harmony 00-size, 12-fret in ladder-braced spruce/birch, fun honky tonk player

This guitar is an affordable, all-solid wood option for old time and roots music. It's flatpick punchy, loud and real easy to play. The 1 11/16" nut caters to smaller hands and might attract a lady or two in the offing. A fine strummer and overall nice example by a formidable American maker.

SPECS: 00-size, body, 12-fret neck, ladder-braced spruce top over birch sides and back in black lacquer, slotted headstock with Golden Age tuning machines, low oval neck profile, ebonized maple fretboard with original frets, rosewood bridge, bone nut and saddle. Nut width: 1 11/16", String Spacing: 2 3/8", Scale length: 25", Upper bout: 10 3/4", Lower Bout: 14 1/2", Body length: 18 1/2", Widest body depth: 3 7/8", Overall length: 38 1/2" , Neck thickness at 1st fret: 7/8", Neck thickness at 5th fret: 7/8", Action: 1/8", String gauge setup: 53-12s.

CONDITION: This guitar is in good condition with only a few bumps, bruises and scrapes to show for its age. It was a classical guitar in a former life and pampered fondly for many years by its prior owner. Work included neck reset and repairs to braces, seams, bridgeplate, bridge, and finish touchups. No issues left to address, it's ready to play out of the box.

SOUND: I glued down the "floating" bridge and routed the saddle slot to achieve proper intonation. So, despite have a tailpiece, the string energy is conducted through the saddle/bridge directly into the solid spruce top similar to that of a fixed bridge. The resulting tone is strong and vibrant with nice sustain with above average projection.
