Slope-shouldered 00-size, 14- fret, long scale in solid mahogany, powerful rich and smokey tone, crazy cool

052814G

This is a wonderful example of how a small body built well can complete with the big boys twice it's size. The slope-shoulder shape makes the guitar appear larger than it really is. With a 00- lower bout and long scale length, there's lots of room to maneuver and tons of all-mahogany "vibe" coming out of the box. The anonymous handbuilt pedigree just adds to the charm.

SPECS: 00-size, body, 14-fret neck, lattice-braced mahogany top over mahogany sides and back in black lacquer, paddle headstock with vintage open back tuning machines, round "D" neck profile, rosewood fretboard with modern frets, ebony bridge, bone bridge pins, bone nut and saddle. Nut width: 1 13/16", String Spacing: 2 1/2", Scale length: 25.4", Upper bout: 10 3/4", Lower Bout: 14 7/8", Body length: 18 1/2", Widest body depth: 4 3/16", Overall length: 39 1/4" , Neck thickness at 1st fret: 1", Neck thickness at 5th fret: 1 1/16", Action: 1/8", String gauge setup: 56-13s

CONDITION: The guitar is well made and solid all over. Aside from finish flaws in the black lacquer and minor wear around the edges, it has been well cared for. No fret wear, straight neck, no cracks, plenty of saddle height. It's a great not-so-little guitar with no issues.

SOUND: The bell-like body shape and the extra body depth combine to produce a wonderful, full sound. It's comfortable when strummed, flat picked or played with bare fingers. There's lots of depth to each note and extra string spacing really grows on you, very Martin-like.
